About the College
LGBRIMH, which houses the School of Nursing, is one of the oldest mental health care institutes in India, initially established in 1876 as the Tezpur Lunatic Asylum. It is now an Autonomous Tertiary Mental Health Care Institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The Institute is dedicated to providing mental health care, education, and research, particularly in the North Eastern region of India.
