About the College
The institution began as a “School of Nursing” at Safdarjung Hospital in 1960, offering a 3½‑year Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
In 2008 the school was upgraded to “College of Nursing, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital” with the launch of a 4‑year B.Sc (Hons) Nursing programme.
The college aims to provide high‑quality nursing education, combining academic coursework with clinical training via Safdarjung Hospital — a large tertiary/multi‑specialty hospital — giving students wide exposure across specialties.
