About the College
- The College of Nursing at Dr. H. Gordon Roberts Hospital (Shillong) evolved out of the hospital’s original nursing school. Nursing‑education at the hospital began nearly as long ago as the hospital itself — early‑efforts date back to 1919 under a missionary nurse, with local nurse training continuing over decades.
- In the academic year 2022–23, the institution was formally upgraded to a “College of Nursing.”
- The college offers structured, modern nursing education — with labs, computer facilities, nutrition lab, library, and access to hospital‑based clinical exposure through Dr. Roberts Hospital’s multi‑specialty wards and services.
